Einstein, one of my silkie chicks, has taken a real liking to me and will hop up in my lap and sleep for long periods of time.
Zhenders (her brother) has been starting to do the same.

Awww. It sounds like these two are well on their way to becoming well socialized little dinosaurs.
I'm intensely curious as to how they turn out as pets; Everyone else I know that keeps chickens does it strictly for meat and eggs, so I've no knowledge at all how well they'd turn out as pets if pampered and socialized properly. Please keep us informed! I always like learning new things about birbs, no matter what kind they are.
