Maybe he didn't change much for other people, but he suuurely did for me XD. Instead of fins, he mostly has spikes on his back, sides and arms. His tail got probably bigger and glowier. And obviously his lights aren't always glowing, especially not when he's hunting.
As always the fishing rod is to lure fishies or any prey into his mouth. Like previously he has.... a weird tongue. It can shape shift and practically turn into terrible tentacle tongues... glowing tentacle tongues. I'm terrible for this design choice, but I like it anyways :V . Splitting the tongue is usually used to eat multiple prey like on a ship. Like a kraken... but it's a giant tongue.
Also Yaten has... many stomachs. Many. His guts are a labyrinth itself. And it often happens that people don't really get digested but just... get lost in there :V. Some are hunting for a treasure in there. And some don't really make it and get into the wrong guts.
