SparkyCanDo enjoying what I'm sure would be a beautifully refreshing icy-pole (well, that's what I call them) in front of some shameless promotion for the meet.
The reason for the advertising? This was taken at the Canberra Deep-Space Communication Complex, run by the CSIRO on behalf of NASA who use the radio dishes there to communicate with their deep-space (i.e. beyond the Moon) probes.
While we were there they were downloading data from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and Voyager 2!
This being the public visitor's centre,  captainotter had the signs printed so that people had at least some warning that they would be invaded by giant well-behaved animals at some point during the day.
People were still surprised and confused, of course, but at least we had tried
