May 7th was the one year anniversary of rescuing this little bean. I've been so so so busy with moving houses I didn't have time to do anything til now.
Beatrix has been through some pretty terrible abuse/neglect before she came to me, I'm glad she's pulled through it all. She's a big motivator for me to help spread rabbit welfare awareness. Spaying/neutering, indoor housing, and a proper diet (unlimited hay!) isn't optional when it comes to caring for bunnies. I wish her former owner/s knew that - she would have be saved a lot of grief.
Despite it all, today she's a happy bouncy binkying bounding little gal. She's such a sweet and forgiving bunny. She does have that iconic bunny sass too, but that just adds to her charm.

ohhh my goodness this is so cute ;____; i love bunnies to death, theyre one of my favorite animals..........
years ago i adopted a bunny that went blind due to an infection from abuse. she was timid and cautious, but very sweet and docile. later on i had to return her to the shelter that i adopted her from as i moved out of state for college... it was a very difficult decision to make, we didnt have anywhere else for her to go. shes frightened VERY easily because she is blind, and we were all scared she could easily die from stress or fright if we tried to take her on a plane alone or a long trip through a car. i still love her so much and i know her foster parents and everybody at the shelter (and hopefully her new owners) love her to bits too
its a very good thing of you to take care of your rabbit this well and see that shes happy, im very happy for the both of you

Awh most bunnies adapt to their disability fairly well and live on like any other bunny even head tilt and amputated limbs don't usually slow a bunny down. I went 3 hours in a plane twice before with my two rabbits in a little pet carrier and when I opened the pet carrier they'd eaten all their hay and wrecked their toys and poo/peed a fair amount which was good. And less than a month ago I just moved from Florida to New Hampshire by car, 24 hours and they acted like they didn't even know they were in a car xDD https://www.instagram.com/p/BTYOaomhcs-/ I know a lot of disabled bunnies have traveled long distances for family moves and had no issues
Bunnies typically do perfectly well for traveling especially by air, it's usually much more stressful for them to lose their humans and be put into a new home I find. (I used to work with 3-4 rabbits rescues before I moved, and I'd seen a lot of owner surrenders due to moving)
Anyways, I'm not passing judgment at all! You know your own situation best and did what was best for your situation. I just wanted to say for future references if you ever have bunnies and need to move again it's actually really safe :>

We used to have a lot of rescue birds but there was always one that i adored. She was a goffin cockatoo named Fondue and she went from being afraid of humans with a habit of plucking her feathers to loving everyone with fuzzy feather fluff all over her body. She never liked being picked up but she did love getting close and putting her head to your chest and rubbing her face against it. It feels really nice to help and bond with an animal. Its good to spread awareness about petcare. There is no such thing as a low maintenance pet! There will always be something you dont know about an animal!
