really? i am too. but unfortunately i moved. i used to be in a great rail area, but now i moved to a place where the only trains we have are the underground metro transit. but yeah i used to live about a block down from a 2track RR xing and then if i would go down the street(the one paralell to the railroad) about 6blocks i would be at a 3 Track Quad gate RR Xing. i would go out at 4am alot and i would then see AMTRAK transit around every 30 min on the hour and a Freight(Mostly CSX) every 45min on the hour. i did however recall one time seeing a Union Pacific Freight pass thru. i dunno why it was here in VA, but it was there.

Really? Awesome! Sounds like you had a pretty cool place to see the trains. Around here my two fave spots are a small single track (doesn't even have gates or lights!) and the CSX Taft Yard just down the road from there. Lots of switching action and the occasional locos visiting from other railroads. (between you and me, CSX never really had any SD45's...XD) There's the Florida Central Railroad with all their old EMD Geeps, and even a concrete facility with some old ALCo diesels.

I couldn't think of anything too creative when I got my personalized license plates, so I just settled with this. x)

Very nice! I'd like to do that myself but a) not sure if I even want a car and b) I hear you have to pay extra to have personalized number plates like the one you have per year or something to that extent.

Still, pretty cool! I love how it says "I'm Animal Friendly." We need more of those!
