Awe! so cute, I did this to my rat when he passed. The flowers, I wasn't skilled enough to do him justice with taxidermy.

thanks :3 and yeah the flowers - when things get messed up..just stick a flower on it. LOL That's exactly what I did anyway for this one..so many holes :( but poor little guy was battered up to begin with. And man, rats are like...seriously one of the hardest to taxidermy imo. I mean to get them right..I guess goes with all taxidermy but when you are making your own forms and stuff for the little guys and dealing with hair slip that seems to happen ALL the time with rats..yeh I feel your pain.

I know what you mean! plus rats have such thin skin ;-; I've only ever skinned one once but wasn't able to do anything with it. I hear with forms for them some people use the bodies to cast a perfect form? before skinning, I might try it out when I can next.

Yesss. forms before skinning? that would seem pretty hard..do you mean casting the carcass? That is what some people do, it would be neat either way if it was done successfully! Hope you can try it out again :)

I think that's what they mean! I'd be worried about damaging the coat but I don't know enough about it yet. But when I plan to try it I'll look into it more :))
