it still floors me how quickly I can go from “I’m a decent human being and life is pretty great” to “I’m worse than garbage and it would be okay if I didn’t wake up in the morning”.

It’s never a fun shift, and it always hits me like a punch to the gut, but at least I know I’ll probably be alright in the morning after some sleep. I usually am, at least.

This, too, shall pass.
