Yes i know, people do this a lot. making furry about popular non-furry characters, and some people consider this like an offense to the writer and original characters (well STFU for them).
I´m a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien (the Lord of the Rings author in case you don´t know) and i usually imagine this kind of stuff (even like My Little Pony but will be soo WTF to you to see that) Anyway, furry sketchy portraits of Legolas son of Thandruil (elf) and Gimli son of Gloin (dwarf)
There was an Aragorn too but i really didn´t like him. I´m tired to see him as a wolf everywhere. need to find other animal to fits him.
This whole thing was done with the awesome

Gimli somehow makes the most adorable pig/boar. And yeah! There has to be other animals that suit Aragorn, honestly. Lol I always thought of him like a scruffy lion because of his mane-hair XD but...thats me being silly.
Sometimes it can be an offense if they're not thought out well, but when done well (like this) anthro-izing characters can be really fascinating. Sometimes I do it to my own OC's for fun <3.

Yes i thought him as a boar since the begginig XD but Aragorn is a hard choose, maybe a lion could work but i was searching more in the european animal stuff. Anyway i´v heard that suggestion before is awesome ^^
Thank you ^^ i´m always worried of screw up characters x-x

Hahaha.
I´m excited about that too and also worried, specially cause Del Toro pretends to make the elves "different" than the LOTR movies. I´m not so agree about some facts of the elves in teh movies but i cannot imagine how could they be "different" and the same time be accurate with the book...o yea

That's hard to decide. A lion certainly accents his regal status, but most of the time he is ranger/king-in-exile. A leopard I think would be a close mix, going heavy on his ranger-side, i.e. stealth etc. However, this would bee too exotic, especially to get facial recognition. In the end, I am going to have to say Cougar (also known as Puma, or Mountain Lion).
You're Welcome!! :)
I was thinking maybe a peregrine falcon for Aragorn. They are very fast and can dive at about 180 miles per hour (290 km/h)! :3
Actually there is another bird I think would make a good Gandalf. Also from the falcon family, a gyrfalcon. They live in the arctic and have a cool coloring that I think would suit Gandalf well! :D
Don't know if you would want two characters as birds though. ^_^

Despite what anyone says, a deer is probably the best possible match for legolas. They (at least were supposed to be) are symbols of majesty and grace, often reserved for coat of arms for nobility. They are noble and wise creatures, often depicted as kings of the forest (usually reserved for stag, but isnt that just a type of deer?). So, legolas, being who he is, is obviously a deer in furry world lol
You could do Aragorn as a lynx or something, that would be sweet! Otherwise this is an awesome piece! It's such a cool transition of said 'popular' characters done in a very, in my opinion, fitting style. Awesome. I too never imagined Legolas as a deer but that's just neat!
Che! te felicito (nuevamente ^^u)
