Last time I mentioned that Wolf had received the Light Stone on arrival to the Unova League and that Lenora allowed him to hold onto it. Throughout the Unova League the reason for being given the Light Stone was made slowly apparent as it began to communicate with him telepathically, warning him of the foe that would soon challenge him. This became more urgent the night before the final, which was set to be Wolf versus an individual known only as N.

The voice was urgent enough that Wolf insisted that one of his team had to sit out the final, Kai the Meinshao offering as the team already had a fighting type in Lucky who was overall the superior combatant. When the match began, Wolf took out the Light Stone only to see N bring out the Dark Stone, confessing that he and Team Plasma had organised this as his way of legitimising the goals of Team Plasma. The stones took the forms of the legendary dragons Reshiram and Zekrom, prepared to battle between N’s ideals and the possible truth he believed Wolf represented as a sudden chill blew through the stadium.

Ghetsis had arrived, with his sub faction of Team Plasma and the third dragon Kyurem.

Using the DNA splicers, Ghetsis proceeded to fuse Zekrom with Kyurem to make Black Kyurem, Wolf wasting no time in having Reshiram engage it while his team held off the rest of Team Plasma from harming the onlookers. Once they had cleared out the enemy, Lelith charged straight into the battle against Black Kyurem, the rest soon joining her as they took down the merged legendary dragon as a team. With Ghetsis defeated and fleeing, N grabbed the fallen DNA splicers and split Black Kyurem into it’s two halves, conceding the battle and the Unova League to Wolf as he truly believed that the bond demonstrated by his pokemon with him was what it truly meant to be with pokemon.

Little time was spared for the ceremony of becoming winner of the Unova League, as Arceus appeared and told Wolf that Arakhara drew near.
