I was given a number of actual Soviet era diecast toys some years ago. This is one of the boxes, flattened out. Of the four I was given, this is probably the nicest. There's adequate detail, and the wheel and tire assemblies are done well. My only complaint is that the toy was made of some cheap pot metal. The hinges for one of the trails (the beams sticking out behind the canon that are part of its support and prevent recoil) broke. I tried to crazy glue the hinge together and it broke again. I think it broke into two or three more pieces before I finally gave up on making it work, and glued the whole thing together in one piece. While the one trail still swings in or out, the matching trail is frozen in a between position.
I also have some much cheaper, smaller Soviet made military toys, but they aren't so worth seeing.

Wow, cool. We got a pile of those and a buncha kits back when we were trading stuff with the soviets back in '91 and '92. Shon even got one of those super rare Mig 3 kits.
The funniest thing about the whole deal was we found it easier to get mail behind the iron curtain then into Canada.
