If there was ever something that suggested I hated myself, here it is! *grumbles* Forests are so tedious to draw...Last week our focus was on Sasha the sports feline. This time I decided to draw Ino doing what she likes best.
Ino likes nature and taking adventurous walks into forests and following water streams up to their sources. We stumbled upon a cut down log and walked over it. Sasha was the first, followed by Ino, me and Carrie. The sound of trickling water, rustling wind and crackling of the leafs under our shoes accompanied us as we trailed on.
Technically the pic is not finished by my standards, I would have had to shade the entire thing but seriously...look at it! Haven't I suffered enough?! *giggles* I am merely joking, It was quite complicated to make everything look right but I am happy I drew it, I always like to push my limits and improve. This was quite the pleasant challenge.

I had to look up referential material. I knew I wanted to draw mushrooms and when I did, I realized there's mushrooms that also grow on trees and logs~! To be honest, I had just drawn lots of grass on the ground and had to go back and erase some of it to draw some dirt patches and some dead leafs, I almost slacked off near the end =_=
*hugs BHawkes* Thanks BeeH~!

Oh yeah, the wide variety of mushrooms out there, and the places where they can grow and thrive are ridiculous. It's why I used to like walking around some of the less-treaded paths in camp in the summer, since one could find ridiculously awesome (as well as MASSIVE) groups of them on the tress. <3
*Eliza absorbs the nostalgia emanating from rottenest and feels becoming more powerful* Relatability is a success! Nostalgia drive activate!
*giggles* I personally don't take walks in the woods normally since I`m a weak and nature allergic bunny geek. But I did that as a teenager, I`m happy my drawing can build bridges between people like this, relating to one another. ^^

Hooooly cow!! @w@ That's so nice looking! That background, unfinished or not, is AMAZING! :D
I did similarly as a kid. XD Used to have a large woodland area next to my house after I moved in at 10 years old. It was really fun to go in and mess around, but I never did much more than explore. There was also an area that you could ride bikes down, and was called the 'Devil's Pit'.
I've ridden down that a few times when I still had a working bike. Haha! Was pretty fun. Lot of Mosquitoes though.
(Unrelated, but I actually 'predicted' we'd move out in 9 years, but it was brushed off by everyone, even me. Sure enough, 9 years later, we moved out. XD I laughed like hell and I remembered this.)
