Ben unlocked Kryptonian DNA, but a glitch in the Omnitrix caused his Kryptonian form to be Supergirl instead of Superman. I heard somewhere a long time ago that, in really early production of Ben 10, one of Ben's aliens was going to be female. I always liked that idea, the idea of a superhero who has to genderswap in order to use their powers, it would be the perfect disguise really, nobody would suspect that a famous woman superhero is actually a dude or vice versa. The closest we get to that premise is Cybersix and Shezow, neither of which really caught on, especially Shezow, it straight-up got slammed by moral guardians, begging us all to "think of da childwen!" As if Bugs Bunny hasn't been crossdressing since 1940. And Cybersix couldn't even get the luxury of media attention, it's pretty much forgotten nowadays. I just want to see a good cartoon show about a genderswapping superhero and actually see it succeed, preferably without being preachy about its own premise.
