This here is Alice, a chinchilla and the main character in my series! She's a total ice queen with a very serious demeanor. However, despite possibly seeming a bit high strung, She can actually be fairly lenient and has a high tolerance for things. In the event one does get on her nerves though, they will know it. She can also be surprisingly adventurous.
Alice was born into a rich family and grew up reading books of all sorts. Though her favorites were fictions of scifi and fantasy, she found herself digging regularly into engineering documents. With a bit of an adventurous mind, Alice spend a small fortune on supplies to begin a career in engineering. Though she of course started out small, creating simple devices and occasionally blundering on the more complex stuff, she eventually became skilled enough to create fully functioning robots and other automated devices with a number of inventions and patents to her name. With a foothold in the industry, Alice soon began her company under the name "Sinclair Technologies" and established her first factory for mass production of her creations.
Thanks to her innovative and reliable designs, her company was quick to grow, raking in tremendous sums of cash and expanding to spread across the nation. With so many funds at her disposal, Alice decided it was finally time to move away from the family estate and begin her own life. As it was, only a few miles from home on the edge of a forest atop a hill was a manor house by the name of Mooncaller estate due to it being perfectly aligned to where if one were to stand directly in front of the house, they could watch the moon rise directly up from the center. However, this wasn't the typical estate most wealthy folks would consider calling home. It had seemingly been abandoned years ago and was in severe disrepair. Despite it's ideal position and view overlooking the town, most people would never consider the place worth renovating. However, thanks to Alice's abundant funds and access to her robots, she hired a small crew to help spruce the place up, taking it from a dreary, run down, rat infested hole and turning it into a house fit for royalty with her advanced robotic servants to tend to it.
However, the acquisition of this mansion was only the beginning of something more for the chinchilla. whilst establishing a workshop in the basement, she stumbled across something odd. A hidden room behind the stone walls. Curious as always, she explored inside to discover a shocking sight. It was a room in total disrepair, but adorned with odd devices and strange symbols. Though initially an eerie sight, Alice couldn't help but investigate, finding a few odd tomes and scrolls laying about the place. After sprucing the place up a bit, she investigated the tomes, discovering that they seemed to be occult in nature, making the room make much more sense. Where many may have fled, Alice only found herself more curious, purusing the strange knowledge hidden within the tomes. In the following days, she spend more and more free time here, studying the documents and playing with the runes.
One day, as Alice attempted to conduct a ritual, she was visited by an odd creature. An otherworldly being who was curious about who it was who was tampering with the runes. Steeling herself, Alice spoke to the creature who seemed genuinely curious and interested in her. Before long, the two found themselves sharing information and the creature, who Alice eventually began to call Kilvictin, enlightened her a bit about the realm he had come from, and how those who could curry favor of the realm's denizens could discover great power. Always looking to make life a little more interesting, Alice began to study these eldritch arts even deeper. It wasn't long though before she discovered the potential dangers of this realm, as Kilvictin's realm, which was apparently known to it's denizens as Ruulthaak's void, had strange effects on those who commune with it. These effects were known as corruption, which would gradually mutate the body and mind of the individual interacting with the realm, and many of it's denizens would use this as a means to create subjects for themselves. Alice of course had no interest in losing herself to corruption, but also wished to access the realm's power. Fortunately for her, Kilvictin was one of the more uncommon types among the ream's many denizens, in which he actually had no interest in taking the minds of mortals. Sensing a bit of kinship with Alice thanks to her interest in discovery, Kilvictin offered her an alternative. He could infuse her body with come controlled corruption and offer him her aid, and in return, her body would remain unaffected by the void any longer and allow her to utilize it's power like any of the denizens within it. Feeling she could trust Kilvictin, Alice accepted.
True to his word, Kilvictin granted Alice immunity to the void, but at a cost. In order for Alice to aid him, Alice required minor modifications. These modifications included an obscenely expanded rear and a set of bowels that could produce raw void power in the form of noxious gas as well function as a portal for Alice to send things into the void through. Though jarring and embarrassing at first, Alice quickly learned how to cope with it, creating a number of dresses that would both disguise her rear, the extremely potent stench of her new gas, and allow her to do her job as an enforcer for the void easier. Now with the ability to use the powers of Ruulthaak's Void alongside her engineering craft, Alice began looking forward to a long and interesting life.
And that's Alice!
