Finished this year's ConFuzzled Con badges.
Next time, I will look for the self laminating pouches first, then make the art to suit. Self laminating tags are stupid hard to find and when I found them at Staples, they were stupid expensive. Not happy, Jan!

Ah, now you are talking my specialty, been drawing badges over 30 years.
Want better laminates? Go 7 mil minimum, 10 is best, here... http://www.laminationdepot.com/Shop.....VecaAqxS8P8HAQ
Invest in a slot punch too, I get mine off ebay cheap, and spend the better coin on a decent laminator and be sure it requires a cover slip, cause loose laminates too often will seriously gum up laminators without one.
Best brand of laminator is Ibico.
Personal experience with self laminating badges is they are junk. Always go heat sealed laminates.

Also remember, I'm in another country, all my craft tools and punches are back in Australia. I have to make do with what I can grab off the shelves here. And when I only do this once every few years its not worth investing in lots of equipment, assuming we can get that brand in the UK.
But I agree with self-laminating being crap. My badge from 2014 is coming apart already. I always print extra badges so they can be remade into better badges later on. All up I've spend £25 on materials and services and £10 on tools to make these badges and door signs.
