Back in the late 1990s, as I recall, there was a furry theme going on where various artists (including Terrie Smith and Bucky-Boy) would draw various characters in the form of carousel animals, complete with poles. I don't know for sure if this drawing was intended as part of that series, but Tim and Bucky-Boy were friends in RL and frequently exchanged artwork, so it's very possible.
