A friend asked me if I see a circle around the Sun today. I didn't because it was covered with a roof, but when I stuck halfway out the window, I noticed it. Grabbed the camera and dashed outside.

Meh, actually, I screwed it up totally. Forgot EVERYTHING I was taught about shooting halos.
1) I didn't use the lamp post that was right there to cover the Sun (I have in a few of the other shots).
2) I forgot to check for other halo lines.
3) I didn't shoot around the halo to make a sticth, where you can often see the lines you miss when looking at the Sun...
