A picture showing stages in making one of my current pieces. Tracing, burning, initial colour, final colour.

The original art was drawn by  MGFerret of her character Oscar from her comic  Orbitencounter. What you see is just my attempt to interpret her art onto wood. :)

This was only my third attempt at doing colour, and while I started out quite worried and feeling like I was doing terribly, I think the final image is ok overall. As much as anything I have to keep reminding myself that I'm still learning, so it's understandable to make mistakes, and they're part of the learning process. :)

Piece is sycamore wood with watercolour pencils for colour.
