Sample of "What, me Furry?" installment 59, showing the three stages of digital inking via Inkscape, which I'm in the process of learning in an attempt to sharpen my works' lineart.
--Top panel is the loose trace job to lay down the various line segments over the pencil layer.
--Middle panel is after I've selected and adjusted the lines to correspond to the underlying pencils. This is once advantage of vector linework--you can move everything around, bending, stretching and re-curving lines to your heart's content.
--The last panel is with the pencil layer hidden. Color will still take place in Micrografx Picture Publisher, but the lineart should come out sharper.
Anyone with experience with Inkscape is welcome to offer tips--I've only been working with it for less than a week.
