F I N A L L Y made a gemsona with a bunch of great help from  Rubadoodle!
Nephrite is a Crystal Gem with her gemstone on her left (also dominant) hand.
On Homeworld she was like an intern. She did menial office tasks to keep the facilities running smoothly. There is a lot of planning, organizing, and number crunching behind business meetings! (Especially with important gems).
She was sent to a post on Pluto and worked under a Zircon there. They were mostly researching the area and she picked up a lot of technical skills there.
She's a short gem and a stubborn one. Nephrite has a strict schedule she keeps to unless instructed otherwise by her superiors.
On earth, she struggled with the concept of night and day, sleep, and mealtimes until she figured out it was important to earth's (and especially humans') schedule. She joined the Crystal Gems, tired of working hard but not going anywhere. She learned about freedom and having the ability to grow one's skills and interests to fit what they want, not what others want. She also learned how to have friendships and not just professional relationships.
Meeting her at first, especially in her early days on earth, she would be fairly serious and simple and be very to-the-point. Getting used to earth, her emotions would start showing more instead of just being serious or scared. She also has a NASTY habit of repeating herself and rambling when angry or nervous.
Nephrite talks with a very mild stutter, stuttering only every four or five words or so. She has a very nervous and submissive attitude as she hates conflict and exists to make sure everything is running smooth and everyone is happy. On her heels are tiny wheel enhancements so she can quickly glide from one area to another in a timely manner.
Her axe is as tall as she is. She rarely uses it as "run!!" is generally her first instinct.
