That fish seems amused that a bear like Bucky could be such a wuss over a little cold water. Bucky may be the only bear in the world who doesn’t like to eat fish, but he might make an exception in this case.

1) Well, it's not floating ON the lake. If you look closely, you can see a tiny strip of green grass. It is most definitely too close to the water's edge though. Neither Douglas nor I realized it until the drawing was finished. So, we will just chock it up to Bucky's lack of camping experience.
2) Apparently, years of being a city bear have made Bucky a little 'soft' regarding such things. You can see why the fish is so amused at this supposedly tough bear's reaction. If fish could laugh, this one would be laughing out loud.
