Always been a fan of Francis Bacon and wanted to do a homage to the artist, this one being taken from his "Head Surrounded by Sides of Beef" piece. The "Beefcake" play on words hints at some of the meaning behind the painting too. The title and homage to the artist himself reflects different aspects of being gay. The distortion of the piece represents some of the stresses being gay and have, the blacked in the eyes kind of represents hiding and shame, and finally I'm in place of the pope in the origional painting to represents accepting my sexuality with grace and pride.
Also note that the painting has been photographed, not scanned, and it's kind of in an angle... so it's a little foreshortened twords teh top here.

Amazing. It really captures a mood, and the symbolism is all more up front than I normally would expect from modern art. Plus, it's nice to see a piece whose symbols get to the heart of homosexuality, rather than using a bunch of rainbows and pink stuff. No holds barred here. :)
