It was only a few days since their journey in the underground castle of Noir. Their trek had been a long and tiresome one, though of course it had it's ups and downs, little banters and a chock full of laughs. It was during this specific day of all that little did the two know that they were in for quite the shady surprise.
A tall, furry, black labrador retriever who was 5'4 meters in height and dressed up in a warm oak brown cotton cardigan under an earth forest green hooded jacket and maroon/brown pants, trailed behind a short and stout figure who was 10 centimeters smaller at the height of 4'3 meters and walked with an air of casualness in front of her.
He was covered by a black shirt, dark blue zipped hooded jacket with grey fluffy tufts and black sports shorts that had a white stripe imprinted on each side. Bound to his feet were a pair of fluffy pink slippers.
The castle had been around for centuries. Its layout was a traditional grey stone walls lit with orange flames cast along the earthly corridors. The flooring was partially dressed in a royal red carpet, woven from the finest silk fabric and dusted with a golden rim that once used to shine glamorously.
They soon stumbled upon a spiraling glass staircase which seemed to shine a sparkling emerald green giving off a lustrous glow in the light of the torches.
"Oooooh, look Sans! A shiny sparkly staircase. Annnnd, it's GREEN, my favourite colour! c:" the dog barked in excitement.
The skeleton simply smiled, letting the dog have her moment before speaking up " Well, guess we'd better take a look at where they're gonna lead. Having a staring contest with these steps is fun and all, but knowing what's up there is way better. Don'tcha think Dozie?" Sans eyed his friend with the same lazy happy stare he always gave her.
"You bet! Just imagine all the treasure that's waiting for us! :3 Ooooooh, I can just imagine a really beautiful earth blue shiny collar with sparkly diamonds just waiting for me to get it!" she pranced up full of energy.
"Hey, Sans you want to race? First one there gets the treasure! Arrrgh! c: <" she declared, making a hook shape with her left paw and raising it.
The skeleton chuckled as he watched his friend scurry up the stairs. A smirk played at the corners of his permanent grinning mouth. He knew he'd be the first one up as he vanished within a blue flash of light and took what he'd always call a 'shortcut'.
A while later Dozie came in, sweat giving her fur a bit of a glossy but mostly damp sheen as she huffed the last few steps up, giving way a little as she keeled over, stopping to catch her breath from all the stairs she had just climbed.
"Heya huff fluffs, you sure took your time getting here~" he teased standing in front of her as he gazed down with his friendly eyes, a skeletal hand outstretched to help her as she took it and pulled herself up.
"Phew....t-thanks. she said taking a last heave, finally regaining her normal breathing level once more.
"Darn though, you beat me. How did you even get up here so.... fast?" she asked blinking in confusion and surprise but with a hint of admiration.
"Jee, uh... I guess you could say a have a skele-ton of ways I know around this place. After all, sanctuaries like these always have skeletons hidden in their closets." his grin broadened as he heard her laugh at his joke.
They soon turned to the direction ahead and saw upon the small alter a giant gold chest with silver rims around it and the emblem of Noir Castle engraved dead in its core which was of a black tribal dragon with two crossbones.
"Hey, since we both made it how about we share the treasure." his lazybones sleepy but happy expression remained on him as always as he looked up at her.
"R-really... you'd share it with me? emerald eyes sparkling with hope returned their gaze on the skeleton
"Sure. Besides, I've never been too big on jewelry all that much anyway." he shrugged extending a hand again "Uh... hey, I hope this won't sound weird or anything, but you wanna walk together on it?" a tint of a blue glow rose on his cheeks as he smiled endearingly at her.
"Oh... sure!"" she grinned taking his hand in her paw as they set up the stairs of the altar side by side.
They were now upon the chest as the two stared at it. Dozie was fascinated and in awe while Sans was just his usual.
"Hey fluffy, you gonna open the chest now? You know it ain't gonna magically pop open. Unless you had a wishbone wand that is~" he grinned, erupting into laughter with Dozie as she playfully nudged his side lightly.
A blinding golden light had burst right out of the chest when she finally prized it unlocked. Just like she imagined, a blue collar the same shade as San's jacket floated magically from its case that it had been trapped in for all those years.
It was as if fate had destined for her to have it. She was mesmerized. But what she really loved most about it were the dazzling, glimmering ice blue crystal diamonds that decorated the collar as she gingerly propped the delicate object into her paws.
"Oooooh....shiiiiiny.... O=" she exclaimed, entranced by the object's beauty.
Just when everything seemed to go so well, the skeleton suddenly sensed a dark vibe in the atmosphere as he turned his head seeing a pair of red eyes staring back at him.
" Uh....Dozie..." a strained grin was on his face as he called out to her.
more eyes appeared as the room started to grow darker
"Uh... Fluffy..." he tried tapping her on the shoulder, his voice became a little more panicked
a purple mist had enveloped the whole room now as two shadow like creatures emerged. Their clawed like hands and glimmering sinister eyes glaring at the two, hungry for some fresh SOULS.
" Dozie! Fluffcakes! Would you snap the bones outta your dreamworld?! We got company!" he shook her worriedly. That made her get back to her senses alright.
"A-ah... sorry about that...I was too entranced by this wonderful object so much so, I...kinda dozed out the labrador's cheeks flushed pink in embarrassment. Secretly... she was happy that the skeleton was there to bring her back to her senses most of the time. She felt she wouldn't know what she'd do without a great friend like him around as she placed the treasure into her little bag.
" Heh, it's good to have ya back. So what do you say we kick some shady butts~" he grinned
"Heck yeaaaah! agreed Dozie as the two linked arms forming a back to back position. Sans with his azure blue glowing flame and row of bones and Dozie with her SOUL Aura erupted into battle mode. They truly were ready to kick shady butts.

Annnnd cut! Wooooo! So, I finally got this up at last~ I'm really really happy about this because Doziedog who's been my cool and nice friend for a while, absolutely deserves this. So it was on request that she wanted me to make an art of her teaming up with Sans~

So I thought to myself, why not make up a nice little story to go along with it~ c: Hope you like it.
Heh, for myself I could imagine Sans and Dozie perhaps maybe one day being a pair~ I ship it! >.<
