Life isn't easy when you're a lizardman, living away from what most would consider the civilized world... other than the superiority you have by virtue of just *being* a lizard. And Rusk is no exception, not only knowing that him and his kind were superior to the fleshlings behind their walls, but also to his own kind -- being faster, stronger, more adaptable -- Rusk is a prime example of his kind...
And that would be because he's not entirely his kind. During a life and death skirmish with an owlbear invading his clan's lands, he was assaulted by a sudden surge of memories that were not his own... and in that surge, awoke to his latent potential, destroying the creature's mind... and leaving him troubled.
Why did he have another set of memories? Why does he now have a power that none of his clan have? And why does it all seem so familiar despite living among his clan for over nineteen years...?
Taking his leave from his people, Rusk was determined to find answers... and perhaps refine his new power along the way...
A lizardfolk character I'm currently playing in Dungeons and Dragons, Rusk ventures with his group to currently find the Nightstone, an ancient item that can reflect the truth of those who gaze into it. However, on the night he was to see it, it was abducted while the city that housed it was reduced to shambles, forcing the reptilian man and his party to venture to recover it so that he can find what he's been looking for...
Rusk is very much an optimist, even if he's not overly emotional. He has the natural superiority of his people that they, by virtue of being lizardfolk, are greater than any fleshling. And honestly? With his power he's not wrong. Able to create psychic blades, to hide his image from the mind of those who would look on him, to manipulate his body to heal rapidly despite damage, and to even mentally place himself elsewhere so long as his mind's eye can clearly see it, he's a force to be reckoned with against his foes, bringing a savage fighting style with a focused, disciplined skill set to the group, acting as a scout and front line fighter... so long as his mental reserves don't run out? Rusk can keep going, no matter what.

He is... and he is.
It's not so much that he's cold though. He has an inherent sense of superiority to... everything. He was born the Ace of his tribe, and is good at just about everything. Gaining psychic powers just made it worse.
He is deep, and is trying to process what he's going through, but he doesn't know how to rely on others. *Literally*. It's not something that he learned growing up. So yeah. That's a thing ;p
