Dero doesn't mind having to take the bus, but it's inevitable the people stare at him, or start to talk crap about him as if he's not in earshot. So often other transit riders are met with his glare of "f**k off". Lucky, on the other hand, just likes to look at other people on the bus.
Dero normally rides his motorcycle everywhere, but sometimes he has items too big or too easily broken to feel that he can safely transport them on the bike. So he'll often take public transit, and his small town doesn't offer cabs, only buses. Thankfully things like Uber now exist, so he probably won't be using the bus any time soon, as people often stare at him when he does.
