This is one of two pieces I submitted to the Furlandia 2017 conbook! The theme of the convention this year was "1929: Age of Prosperity."
This one didn't get into the conbook, but I did get to feature several of my characters! From left to right: Lobo the Mexican gray wolf, Nevada the black-billed magpie, Gundahar the Galapagos marine iguana, and J the black-tipped reef shark!
Inspired in general by one of my favorite anime, Baccano!, part of which takes place on the transcontinental express train "Flying Pussyfoot!"
