Yeah it was one of those funny ones where bits of it looked clean and freshly painted and then other bits of it were dirty and beaten. Although when was the last time you saw a C-47 that didnt look like it needed work :P
Has a little glass dome on top too, I guess for celestial navigation, dont remember seeing those much on other DC-3s.

The clean parts needed the most work, a plane that size you can't really do the whole thing at once (unless it's painting, which it needs too at that point). The dome I'm not sure about, it could be a fitted bomber trainer, or one of the spooky variants they used C-47s for in later years. I'm excited to start working on ours!
On Saturday the RAF's 'Battle of Britain Memorial Flight' did their work over France... and their C-47 dropped paras near Pegasus Bridge ^^ was an awesome sight....modern paratroopers pilling outta the very bird which did it 65 years ago...
