As for a wolf not excepting an outsider? Who's the outsider? I raised the from a pup til they were nearly 5 years old before I got rid of them, I was never concidered an outsider to them. As for the Husky Wolf Pack I ran with, I was there for nearly a year and every summer after, and known many since they were a pup, again, not an outsider to them. Wild animals are not pets..........ironic statement, seeing as "man's best friend" was at one time, a wild animal, as was the house-cat, yet through countless years of breeding, they've become what we have today.

They need to be able to hunt as a group and run as far and as long as they want.
They're wild animals and that's the way it should stay.

That's extremely sad.
He keeps them in a 3 acre, unaltered natural landscape, caribou don't range that far south typically, he hasn't named them because he's not an idiot mallcrawler who thinks everything needs a name, the the WPA is the WRC as well.
If the cougar was raised from a small cub, as the wolves were, it wouldn't know the difference, because it hadn't experienced much travel.

Of course the animal belongs in the wild, but if the animal cannot survive in the wild because it has been raised by humans out of necessity (she did say the mother was killed) than it's better to raise them proper and give them a long range to run on instead of letting them die or putting them down, which are two very real possibilities.
I also believe wolves should be wild and should not be kept as pets, but wolf rescues are necessary and they too give the animal a few acres to run on, thus keeping it in an enclosed shelter. From the way she is describing her friend the wolves where rescued, they are not pets.

They sanctuary I got them from didn't want the state of Texas to take their wolves away for a breeding program and I made sure my vet didn't take xrays and document her down as a real 100% red because she was my baby.
Again, wolves do not have "breeds", they are not dogs. In order for a "breed" to exist, and animal must be "bred". Wolves are not bred, dogs are. Not to mention there should be no concern regarding "percentage" if the ancestry of the wolf is known, since they're either 100% wolf or not.
