Here is morrilefay's "Brianna" (sans highlights and shading) as she will appear in the resumption of "What, me Furry?" when the long-delayed Installment 59 makes its appearance, probably sometime this month.
Compare this version with the digi-painted sketchy sample posted several months ago in my scraps. This excerpt is derived from the recently-completed inks I did with Inkscape, showing the much smoother lineart and curves that vector-tracing the scanned pencils can produce. The finished comic will have color, backdrops, shading, highlights and other visual effects done in my usual app, since my coloring skills are still heavily biased toward Picture Publisher.
I credit FA members travarisrhade and micu for inspiring me to finally drag this app out of the dusty corner I kept it in and actually use it for something. Once I figure out how use color gradients in vector images with this app, it should either speed up the rate of art processing, or at least result in yet another "look" that my work can achieve. It does go a long ways toward breaking with the heavy outlines that have long characterized my work.
