ACEO - Sean Connery as Captain Marko Ramius
Once a year I seem to manage creating a piece of human related art I am actually proud of... and for this year I think this is it. O_o
This card is for
nelena as a thank you... She wanted a portrait of Sean Connery as the Russian submarine Captain Ramius from "Hunt for Red October", a movie I love, too. For this portrait I used a new strategy (new as in, I didn't apply it before): I used a grid on the reference photos and transferred it on the card. This kind of procedure is not new, but I never used it. It's timeconsuming and tiresome as hell... but I think it was worth the while...
In that sense... thanks, Nel, for teaching me to enjoy singing and dancing again, for sharing the adoration for the same hot stuff with me, for helping me out whenever I need it and... all the rest. <3

All your effort and patience payed off, you created an amazin piece of art and I love you for it (not only because it's mine ;P )
And actually -I- would have to thank -YOU-. For singing and dancing with me, for being so lovable and for bearing with this crazy "Red Bull"-Girl XDD

*tries to remember* 132, 130, a bit of 190 and I believe 169, a weebit 186, 178, 177, 274 and of course 199 and 101. I think that should be all. I must pay attention of not letting the next human picture wait for too long, or else I might get afraid of it again and postpone it till next year or something like that. >_>

"Once more, we play our dangerous game, a game of chess against our old adversary - The American Navy. For forty years, your fathers before you and your older brothers played this game and played it well. But today the game is different. We have the advantage. We will pass through the American patrols, past their sonar nets, and lay off their largest city, and listen to their rock and roll... while we conduct missile drills. It reminds me of the heady days of Sputnik and Yuri Gagarin when the world trembled at the sound of our rockets. Now they will tremble again - at the sound of our silence. The order is: engage the silent drive. ...the only sound they will hear is our laughter, while we sail to Havana, where the sun is warm, and so is the...comradeship."
*gigglepurr* I'm sorry, the magnifier was just a suggestion to express my admiration for the incredible detail you've managed to put in such a tiny picture, I just imagined you bent over the piece with a lamp like a floodlight beside you and a magnifier (Uhrmacherlupe) attached to your eye ^.^
I can imagine that a strong lightsource is essential for working with coloured pencils. Once again my apologies for not making it clear what I wanted to say - still: amazing art!
