Obviously, this isn't the best of photos, but I still wanted to share it because this guide was just SO WONDERFUL when we suddenly appeared at the visitor's centre.
She was doing really well, talking us through the different radio dishes and what they were tracking (Voyager 2! The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter!) when she suddenly stopped and said (something like) "I'm sorry, this is just too weird", covering her face and taking a few deep breaths.
We laughed and smiled and tried to put her at ease ("yeah, this is weird, that's okay, you're doing a fantastic job", etc) and she continued on.
She did a really fantastic job in a situation I'm sure she wasn't ready for, and I found it a really wonderful shared experience.
So I'm posting it to share that.
