This is Ester's Magic deck, the first in a series of little mini projects I hope to put up.
"Time What is Time" is a fast red/blue control deck centered around the idea of exploiting extra turns and dealing quick damage to an opponent before they are allowed to react and grinding them into the dirt.
Few of the cards in this deck are in themselves fast, so it instead depends on the assistance of cads like "Dream halls", "Jhoira of Ghitu" and its "Lotus Petals" to expidite the overall strategy by either suspending powerful creatures and spells early game or getting the "Eye of the storm" and "panoptic Mirror" into play.
Once a suitable platform for reliably reproducing spells has been established the deck can then start doing what it does best, using the "Panoptic Mirror" to trigger powerful spells for free at the start of each turn, which in turn can trigger any spells placed into the "Eye of the storm".
"Isochron Scepters" also help provide reliable means to trigger the storm effect, as well as allowing Ester to clear up various smaller creatures already on the field, or even prevent any attempts to disenchant or dismantle the more important pieces of the deck once they are in play.
The deck is rounded out with an assortment of cards to speed up the increase of hand size and fuel the "Dream halls", with "Browbeat" giving opponents a dangerous choice and "Niv Mizzet" making every draw a real pain.
Finally the "Djinn Illuminatus" and "Deepsea kraken" both provide mid to late game field protection, while also supplementing the overall strategies of the deck. A "Lightning Bolt" with the Djinn in play cam be replicated up to nine times when cast from a scepter, and the Kraken could potentially come off of its suspension as early as the next turn if Jhoira gets involved.
This is Ester's favorite deck because it often produces a very 'colorful' game, and reflects a more light hearted and mischievous layer of her personality. People who see the decklist often think of it as weak and unbalanced, but with a bit of luck and even more skill, this deck can quickly outpace and overwhelm foes before they have a chance to react.
