16x20's Acrylic on Canvas
Kept the palette monochromatic save for
some iridescent copper over the Oculus.
These have been really fun to work on, I may
continue to work with this series, or move onto
something else.
I just picked up a bunch of baby 4x4" canvas,
so have been toying with the idea of painting
up a lot of these as little guys.

Thanks for asking, and for your interest :) -- Yeah, Im actually planning on making prints, which would probably be 11x14 or 13x19 and run from $20-$30 depending on materials. I like to print on heavy photo rag papers, which usually run a little more expensive. The paintings will available for sale, for $225 each, after they finish their current gallery run.
>>which would be lovely -- because I think that response would
be specific to that viewer.
This would probably depend on how specific the image might be. In your case, here, the creatures are not directly related to the ones described by Borges in his compilation, and so the viewer does have much greater freedom to respond autonomously. And as umbrellas go, the Borges one is rich enough (and as you say, generalized enough) to bring many associations, which again allows your viewers the freedom to dream.
Not a bad arrangement. :)

Thanks so much! I'll go ahead and make prints available on etsy.

A 13x19" print on Hanhemuhle Fine Art Photorag would be $50
(I would probably paint in by hand the oculus in with that same
iridescent copper, which is what makes the paintings so striking
in person)
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a note and we
can work it out :)
Thanks!
