I could almost write a whole story about this picture....

The medical supplies had never been raided. That was what truly drove home to him that he was in uncharted territory, untouched since the Fall. He sheltered inside for the night. At dawn he set out into the unknown, pack bulging with fresh supplies, senses on high alert...

It's been almost 10 years since the Fall.... I remember it like it was yesterday though. The black clouds blotting out the sun were the first thing, speeding across the skies from horizon to horizon in just an hour. Then They came, raining from the heavens like a metallic shower of death. Like an unstoppable tide, endless, and almost beyond counting. Machines, sentient machines, from beyond the stars our astronomers had charted over the last decades of the 21st century.

That ambulance looks like it's been there for a while. One of his caches of supplies? The lighting in this is superb, as is that expression. concerned, doubtful and hopeful at the same time.
