This piccy was something I had made yesterday when I was feeling really crushed. I think it was at the point where I was feeling that there was no one who really listen or provide a shoulder when I needed one. For me, it's times like those where I really just need someone physically with me to make sure I'm alright.

In my furry world...there isn't a diety per se (as cynicism is the norm although individual spirituality is welcomed) and the most divine as you get are the angelic furries. Like some of the elder kitsune, they are the "guardians" of the furry world and lend a helping hand and make sure the balance in the world is maintained. Beyond the generic "guardian angels," are angels with specific roles. One such case is Dolores (actually spelled and prounuciated like the Spanish Dolores); her specific title is the "Angel of Regret," interceding for those in deep sorrow or full of regret (especially near the end of natural life). It is said that she rarely opens her eyes because they are so full of tears (although rumors state that she has beautiful green eyes)...and for those who feel an unexplainable teardrop on their shoulder or head, it is believed that Dolores is listening to the person in deep sorrow or regret (or pain). On a very few, documented cases, the person in need felt a shower of her tears and soon found themselves consoled and healed from their hurts.

But what hardly anyone knows at all is that she was once a "mortal" herself, who's life was marked with much tragedy and pain. As the story goes, she was deeply depressed for half her life until she realized that no sea of tears can bring back what was lost...but began to cry for others who were in her state but were unable to move on. As she passed on, the other angels saw this and asked if she could listen and weep for others, hence her becoming the Angel of Regret.
