So a friend of mine is going through a tough time. His mother recently found out about his sexuality and found it really unacceptable and verbally abused him and took away his phone. I wasn't able to talk to him for a day or so, and when he was able to come back and talk to me, he explained what happened.

It hurt me so much that my friend was getting abused for his sexuality and by his own flesh and blood. I believe that love is love and all I want to do is be there for him and fight for him. He had to break up with his boyfriend who made him so happy and he, them, I was so excited and happy for him, both of them...And then it all fell apart and now he is hurting and afraid and questioning if there is something wrong with him or if he is a mistake, all because of the belief in a religion where any sexuality apart from heterosexuality is wrong. I don't think that God would have put those people who love the same-sex on Earth or create them if he hated them...I really don't believe that.

I hope he is okay....
