A silicone experiment. Clay sculpt is top for detail references, bottom is cast in silicone over foam- black is tough tto capture detail on in photos, so figured I'd include the clay bits. The fur is just laid on to give an idea of what it will look like in the end, hasnt' been glued or punched yet.

Thanks! Yeah, I've seen costume gorilla masks before and have never been really into their quality. But stan winston and Rick Baker always made ridiculously hyper-realistic gorillas, so I figured what the fuck do it myself XD And it will be interesting to work on an animal that is more-or-less humanoid in shape, so not much adaptation(Except maybe the legs) has to go on when designing it.
