This is part of the Trendwell Family Zoo series that he is doing here and I recommend checking it out.
He is also doing discounted sketch commissions if you are interested.
Anyway here is a little story I came up for it.
So I was given VIP tickets to the Tredwell Family Zoo due to some contest they were having. The Trendwell Zoo just recently opened; and the only people who got to visit it were VIPs who got an invitation. Those that went their said they had a very good time and that the animals were absolutely adorable. So I went, despite the fact I don’t remember signing up for any kind of contest. When I got there, I found that the tickets were not only real but also got me my own personal tour of the place, which made me ecstatic. We first went to the reptile exhibit, which was very cool. The crocodile there had a hat in its exhibit which they said fell off a zookeeper and was basically kept by the guy (which I found kinda funny. I was also shown other animals like lions, bears, sharks, otters and lots of other animals. Plus the food was really good too. Needless to say, I had a great time. But, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the animals were looking at me. It was like they were trying to warn more about something, but I couldn’t figure out what. I chalked up the feeling to me being weird and just continued with the guide.
The tour guide eventually led me to the petting zoo, a smile on his face. In their I met a cute little bunny who hopped right up to me.
“Such a cute little guy” I said.
“Yes he is” the guide responded, a sinister smile plastered on his face.
The cute guy looked up a me and I soon had that feeling again. I dismissed it all the same however. I took a look around and realized that the bunny was the only animals around here. I pointed this out to him, to which he responded, “Well their are others in route. We are hopping to get a goat and donkey soon enough.” He quickly led me over to a pen and opened the get before he turned and said, “Actually, our donkey is due to be here soon. You can wait in here for when the guy comes and can give him a warm welcome.” Now, I just want to say that I love donkeys; so I obviously went inside to wait for it (I didn’t now if it was a he or a she).
As I was going inside I felt a prick on my back and the gate to the pen soon closed behind me. As I was turning around to demand what was going on, I felt woozy before I heard a ripping sound coming from behind me. I looked behind and found the back of my pant ripped; a tail with a tuft of fur on the end being the culprit. I looked at it in disbelief before I felt a crack in my legs as they rearranged themselves into a quadruped stance. Hooves burst forth from my shoe leaving them in taters. My hands soon joined them as they too became hooves. All the while, gray fur spread across my body, leaving me with a nice pelt. My ears quickly grew large and migrated upwards, giving me my new, large donkey ears. My legs soon felt like they alone couldn’t support my body as I was trying in vain to keep on two legs. I looked over at the guide to get help only to see him smiling that sinister smile.
"What the... What are you doing? What's haaaaAAAAAWpenning?!?" I yelled as I found myself falling to the ground on all fours with a tiny thud from my newly acquired hooves. My back snapped into place as my chest quickly barreled out, leaving me a quadruped.
"I really thought that was obvious.", he replied seeing my transformation coming to its conclusion.
I was going to respond, but I felt my neck elongate and rearranged its position on my body. My face was now the only part of me that was even human. That didn’t last long however as I felt a pressure on it. It felt like a hand was pushing it from the inside trying to shove it forward. All I could do was grit my teeth (which were losing their canines and were reforming into those of a herbivore) as my mouth and nose pushed out. As that was happening, my eyes moved to the side and I felt them burning as they were turned into the predominantly dark brown eyes of a donkey. My hair morphed into a short brown mane resting on top of my head and part of the way down back. With a flare of my nostrils, I was soon left with a visage of a donkey; the last of my humanity stolen away from me leaving me a donkey indistinguishable from any other.
The guide soon knelt down in front of the pen and, upon seeing my changes complete, said, “Well aren’t you just an adorable donkey!! I’m sure the kids will love you.” While I was wobbling around on my new hooves trying to find my new balance, I looked at him and tried to respond
“HEEEHAAW HEE HEE HAAAAW!!!”
My words were robbed from me as the braying of an upset donkey filled the air. I soon tried to yell for help but got the same result. I was soon bucking around on my hooves in any attempt to escape, only to have the guide come in had put a harness around me. He gave it a short tug and that made me feel compliant to his demands.
“ Listen, their is no reason to be upset. While your here you’ll get food, water, all your necessities will be taken care of. Plus, you’ll bring smiles to all the boys and girls who will come wanting to pet and love you. Doesn’t that sound wonderful!!”
I tried to pull away from him, but another tug destroyed that idea. I soon lowered my head and gave in to my fate as the zoo’s new donkey. He soon led me around the pen (I was wobbling along as best I could, falling down occasionally, due to me still getting used to these accursed hooves) in order to show me where I am going to eat, drink, and sleep. After he finished, he unhooked the harness and left the pen; my new home. I merely stood their trying to come to grips with my new lot in life when heard a knock on my pen. I looked over and saw the Rabbit from earlier, his eyes showing sympathy and understanding. I realized that I was not the only animal that was formerly a human here. As I stared back at my new neighbor, I also realized I wasn’t going to be the last either.
P.S. I need to get off my lazy ass and try to write some more.
