This was my final project for my music theory II class.
If you've listened to my other music, you may recognize some melodies, as I did some serious recycling in this piece ^^;
Also, if you hear any notes or passages that sound odd, it was likely just me fulfilling the requirements of the project, such as the inclusion of augmented sixths......ugly notes, those things :P
Anyways, enjoy! ^^

you should ask your teacher to teach you how to do jazz phrasing!
that would improve your composition technicue and ad a bit style...
anyway if your techer doesent know how to phrase either jazz or blues then you got tons of videos of how to do it:
just a friendly suggestion!
either if you dont like jazz or blues well then just try and youll quickly get to like it as it is a great way of expresing oneself!

thanks ^^ .....and I would definitely love to try out some jazz phrasing, I've always had a part of me that loves jazz. My teacher would have been a great person to ask too, but unfortunately school is over and getting in touch with him would be difficult, but if you know specifically of any videos that offer good instruction, please point me to them ^^
everyhing you need is mostly on youtube but the best person that could teach you is probably my father for that matter....
ill try to contact him and ill see what he can write down for you:some examples of basic phrasing etc.
the other way is also listening to jazz and blues music and hearing the improvisations themselves as to how the various patterns are made...
also ill try to help out as much as i can!
