I'm a girl and I despised the books. xD I had to force myself through the first one because of how poorly I felt it was written.
Not to mention every time Bella referred to Edward as a 'porcelain god' I wondered yet again if, had her toilet sparkled in the sunlight, if she would have fallen for it too.

Yeah, I can see it from that angle. Though when I get those cravings I just pull one of my old favorite fantasy stories from the shelf. :3
I gotta say though, it's nice to find someone who likes the book but can still admit it has some shortcomings. xD I'm so tired of going into Hot Topic to look for new gaming shirts and rolling my eyes when I pass the GIANT Twilight displays, only to get screeched at by around 3 fangirls. This has happened more than once now. >_<

To make matters worse are all the shitty t-shirts reading, 'Team Edward,' or 'Real Vampires Sparkle,' or 'I <3 Sparkly Vampires.' Or, or! The body glitter they sell now called either vampire sparkles or just Edward, I really don't remember because I was having a mini-anyeurism.

Anyhoo, softcore not really by the strict definition of the word. Haha. Pornography doesn't always have to be literal sex. If you want a more exact definition, I would call it "erotic literature" for teenaged girls. Softcore porn just sounds more striking and amusing.

My wife and roommate have read the books. Everything I've heard makes me think the paper would have been better used by Charmin.
