This is the next Deck in my little series, and one of my favorites, Dianas.
The deck is intended to be fast and hard, which it accomplishes wonderfully. Although most of the cards are gold and almost all of them cost more than one, this deck still has first turn options thanks to its "Dark Ritual" avalability.
The "Avatar of Discord" provides one of the primary offensive tools in this deck, granting Diana a 5/3 flying on the first turn, and working perfectly with "Demigod of Revenge" by letting her put copys of it in the graveyard, where they can join one that is played in a massive assault on the opponent, with enough rituals in hand this could potentially lead to a second turn win!
Naturally though one cannot depend on twelve cards to make a deck, so Dianas has several other options avalable. "Cinder Shade" for example provides a small but pumpable creature that can attack and then explode for massive damage to a foe or target, along with "Soul Burn" which acts both as a fireball style burn spell and gives Diana life for all black mana she paid on it.
Creature destruction is also rampent in this deck, with the powerful "Avatar of Woe" headlining as a way to kill of one creature every turn. Further the "Defiler of souls" makes both players kill off their own mono-colored creatures one at a time, though thanks to "Norin the Warry" Diana can simply choose him as the creture to sacrifice, cast "Terminate" on a foes multi-colored creature in response and let Norrin remove himself from the game, negating the effect. This provides a solid, if temporary, means to Protect her few Mono-colored creautres.
That maens comes in handy with "Chainer, Dementia Summoner", who thanks to the power of soulburn can repeatedly pull other creatures out of Dianas graveyard as black boosted nightmare versions of themselves. It also protects "Kamal, Pit Fighter", who provides a decent punch with either attacking for 6 or sniping for 3 even on the turn he comes out.
Along with this each of htese powerhouses is backed by a laundry list of global enchantment cards. Much of the lineup is the same as Ruth's, with "Aggrivated Assault", "Gratuitous Violence" and "Rage Reflection" providing Double attack rounds, Double damage and Double strike respectivley, and "In the Web of war" giving her creatures a boost and haste. However unlike Ruth Diana has "Anthem of Rakdos" which can potentially grant her anouther doubling to the damage delt when she has no hand. It also provides a constant attack boost, though at a small pain cost.
Finally this particularly nasty deck contains "Lyzolda the blood witch", who can not only empty her hand faster via discard but helps Diana and harms her foes for doing so, all at 2 colorless mana a pop.
The Deck never gets as big as Ruths, but it is big in its own right, and hits much faster in most cases, leaving Diana at a marked advantage over most opponents.
