A number of folks have wondered what Daniel and Marcus would look like today, ten years on after graduation. This was a great excuse to find out for myself.
Personally I like how Marcus looks in particular: he's trimmed off the soft-serv ice cream and tried to recapture his military-school physical discipline, and I imagine it's given him the psychological edge he needed in order to stake out a firm foothold in life. As for Daniel, he's doing his best to stave off the doldrums of a white-collar career, and I like to think it's not about to get the best of him.
A chance encounter with someone (

You know, I think you're probably right... that may be closer to what the official plan was. As with all this stuff, please don't treat it as canon. ;)
Maybe it says something about me that I actually find it more satisfying to imagine them having fairly ordinary, not very spectacular lives... and that working out a steady long-term commitment like this is actually the real achievement they can be proud of.

I know some people were wondering what Marcus and Daniel were going to be like and what they would be doing ten years after the events of ASB and I must say both turned out really handsome, mostly Daniel. ;) From how Marcus matured, I agree with circuit on seeing him as a mayor or working with the local government or with the police after the hell he went through with his dad. You should do a follow-up on the whole gang from ASB on how their lives are going. ^^
I think I speak for many commentors and non-commentors alike when I say that this does my heart good.
ASB was a great story, very honest, and gave us a chance to see a facet of our relationship hopes come true.
Fiction or not, the 'ending' of ASB wrought quite an emotional toll on many of us, and it's a big relief to see these characters continuing in a positive, loving relationship, like we were -all- rooting for.
Keep up the good ...no, great work, Chris.

island brought me back ASB Yearbook from AC, and while I agree with you that Marcus' hair did look wierd, It was rather nice in issue 7 and 8. Really great pic though, your art is great.

Finally discovered you again...only took me long enough, didn't it? I feel so blind and dumb...
But what a wonderful piece to come back to. Regardless of what specific jobs and futures Marcus and Daniel have, I have to agree--getting to see them together, happy, having matured and grown up (and become even more handsome!), and knowing they made it, is one of the most heartwarming things I've ever seen.
