In this week's episode, we see some of the aftermath of the Great Chase the previous night. A great deal of this aftermath involves Statecraft and Intrigue. Not all of it, of course. Prince Erik seems to be of a mind to try to convince the Master of Elfhame to change back into wolfess form...
And yes, there's aqua vitae for afters. The Grey Horde knows how to throw a party.

The prev/first/next>>> toggle does not work. If I am going to read any of this, I must start at the beginning, and it is starting to look like it rivals War and Peace for length. That means I must get started soon. This will be the first time I have read stories on this site, as my focus is on artwork. From what little I have looked at tells me you handle dialog very well, which is the first thing that will destroy a story if done wrong, in my (ahem)! humble opinion.
I hate to ask anyone for anything, I do not know what pdf or ereader is, but I would like to read this in sequence. I read the Aubrey/Maturin books out of order, and it was not the best way to jump into such a convoluted story. But yes, if you would, I would like to give it a shot. Anything with that much work behind it should be worth reading, and I would like to give it a shot. I have read nothing on this site but letters and considering that I am a bookworm nonpareil I would not want to be missing out.
Simplicity itself, sir:
.pdfs are readable by use of a free program, Adobe Reader. There are versions for all major platforms. Once you have that, send me a note here on FA with your email address, and hey! presto! you will get, at no charge, the .pdfs! I just did this for a former co-worker of mine that wanted to start from the beginning. He actually is using one of the eReaders (I think he has a Kindle Fire).

I have to go to Corpus Christie today, and I am only about a tenth of the way through your story. But from what I have seen so far certainly rates you starting this manuscript on the rounds of publishers. The only critique I have is that no one over here knows what a NAAFI is, I only know because one is mentioned in Lucky Jim and I looked it up. Therefore a FAFI would need some sort of clarification. I want to read this so that I remember it, it may be a couple of days before I ask for the next installment. Thanks for taking the time to share this with me, as it has turned out that I am enjoying it.
Yeah...I wouldn't recommend reading the Aubrey/Maturin series out of order. I also don't recommend watching Master and Commander until you've read the series at least through 'Far Side of the World'.
Unfortunately, I've lost most of those books and I am left with five random ones...Cest la vie.

I wouldn't recommend watching Master and Commander at all. Poorly cast, forgettable, an unpleasant combination of two books. The one thing that the movie had going for it was the ship, and we barely saw any of it. O'Brien is a master storyteller, I have read them all, and his abilities are unique. The brilliant thing about the stories is that the author split his main character in two, and just as Maturin is all at at sea, Jack is just not very good at dealing with things ashore. They are both brave and highly intelligent, but Jack eats like a pig and is unfaithful to his wife, whereas Maturin cannot tell port from starboard but is a master undercover agent and a very deadly opponent. Good talking with you!
