Name: John Hochberg
Age:38
Species: dog. Mixed breed of Saint Bernard (father) and Great Dane (mother)
Occupation: former sumo wrestler, lumberman and professional wrestler
Bio:
John was born in America by Herman Hochberg and Marion Becker, two parents of German ancestry.
Thanks to his mixed heritage John was blessed with best genetic that a wrestler could wish for.
Even at young age, he showed clear signs of being larger and more heavily built than the children of his same age.
In addition to that, both of his parents during their days were heavily involved into sports.
His father was a wrestler and his mother was a Ju-Jitsu world champion so they encouraged their son to follow his interests.
This lead John to take a liking for sport (mostly bodybuilding and wrestling) at a very young age.
When John started to attend high school he already had built an impressive amount of muscle for his age and so he immediately choose to join his school wrestling team. He also joined the football team, not because he liked football but more like for the possibility of having some extra training as well for the possibility of facing powerful opponents on the field.
During the last year John’s school received a visit from a Japanese sumo wrestler, Daisuke Hashimoto, who had come to America with the hopes of both promoting sumo outside Japan as well to find some good foreign sumo wrestlers.
When Mr. Hashimoto challenged the school’s wrestling team John was the only one who accepted the giant wrestler’s challenge and the two started a training fight. Mr Hshaimoto thanks to his larger size and greater experience was able to defeat the young John quite easily but he was still amazed by the young’s boy strength and size.
He quickly came to realize that John was an excellent candidate for becoming a sumo wrestler and he discussed the idea with the boy: John was enthusiast of the idea of becoming a sumo wrestler as well as the possibility of visiting Japan and he accepted immediately.
His parents were a bit hesitant at first but after admitting that it could have been an rare opportunity for their son they gave their permission and right after his graduation John leaved for Japan with Mr. Hashimoto.
In Japan John started to follow the strict training program of a sumo wrestler, which caused him to greatly enhance his already formidable bulk; however he never gave up his love for body building and he continued to train hard at a local gym, despite the fact that his masters did not approve.
However when John started to official compete in sumo his passion proved to be a winning choice; even though some sumo wrestlers were bigger than him, no one of them was as muscular and strong like the brawny young canine.
His great strength, combined with a considerable agility and stamina for a dog of his size, allowed him to climb the ranks and win the title of yokozuma at an astounding speed.
Eventually, after his final victory, Iohn started to grow bored with sumo as he couldn’t find any worthy opponents. In addition to that, the world of sumo was slowly but inexorably starting to fall in the hands of the Yakuza who started to rig the matches as well as to hire some sumo wrestler as muscle for their dirty operation.
Eventually John was forced to make a choice; remain a sumo wrestler by submitting to the Yakuza’s authority or retiring for avoiding becoming an Yakuza’s enforcer.
Being a man of honest principles the last choice was his only opportunity.
He decided to head back to America where he took a work at a lumber company; he become quite a celebrity in his squad for his habit of scoffing the use of modern equipment and instead relying only on more traditional methods and his strenght for doing his job and still being able to do twice the work of a modern equipped fellow worker.
Still, the call for wrestling was too strong for him to ignore it and after some time he decided to join the American wrestling world creating a gimmick of a masked wrestler known as Taifuu (“Typhoon” in Japanese) ; even tough as finding wrestler of the same strength was still hard the wrestling world allowed him to have fun, inventing various challenge for himself.
But still, even as it appears that the big dog takes the wrestling world with a fun loving attitude it has become clear that he aims for the highest honor a wrestler can hope for; becoming the world heavyweight campion.
Personality: John is a guy which his chest size is beaten by the sze of his won heart. He is a good guy, always ready to help when there is the need, gentle and kind as well as humble at heart despite at times showing a boastful personality.
A new OC, I so wanted to draw a big canine wrestler, hope you will like him! I believe there may be still work to do on the bio, if you have any suggestion I'm always open to them
