Thank you. I'm glad it passes muster now that I've gotten the frustration out of my system. It seems frustration clouds the mind and blinds one to the possibilities in what they can do.

I didn't much go for them, myself, although the only direct experience I had with them was the usual commercials on TV. I didn't see the appeal, although, as a boy at the time, that's not surprising. My mother didn't seem very taken with them, either. It was she who originally described them as "so ugly, they're cute". I was an only child, so sisters weren't an issue.

I'm not sure I considered the Garbage Pail Kids much better. While I did appreciate their parody value, what few of the cards I saw tended to be a bit too disagreeably disgusting for my tastes.
