The Hunters were on a specific hunt for a Great Jaggi. The client didn't mention anything about a Savage Deviljho patrolling the area, however. The hunting party was ill-equipped for this.
To solve this situation, they managed to get their hands on a special smoke bomb. Not only did it block out the vision of other monsters, but it also made it so they would smell like monsters themselves.
The smoke bomb seemed to be doing something strange to their minds, however. They could almost feel like they were sprouting tails and ear fins, their skin falling out in place of scales. It was certainly uncomfortable for what was mere hallucinations.
The transformation was over in minutes,long after the Deviljho had gone. Rising up from the scraps of hunter gear was a Jaggi, Jaggia, and a Great Jaggi--their Alpha. With the old Alpha dead, the remaining members of the pack gathered around and barked in recognition of their new Alpha and members.
The smoke bomb had done more than just mask their human scent...it overpowered their humanity altogether, leaving them indiscernible from any of the bird wyverns in the Jurassic Frontier, mind and body. And the former hunters didn't seem to mind.
Last Great Jaggi/Jaggi TF I'll do for a while, I swear. I just realized how I had gotten the genders all wrong for the species so I wanted to at least do one of them right. I hope this makes up for it. Now to go back and purposefully get genders wrong with Monster hunter TF's. :P
