This is but a simple concept that I was toying with for a while now. You can ignore this if you want...
As I've claimed before; Matt is a briliant inventor & roboticist. However, with a VERY few exceptions, I've never really portrayed this fact in any real way in the Super Randomness series. Well; that changes today!
The "Sentry" series of robots from Randomness Labs Inc. was first introduced not long after the "Project T.A.I. incident" occured so that Matt could better protect his... "more dangerous" inventions from falling into the wrong hands. The robots were a success, so Matt decided to produce different types of Sentry models, and outfitted each one with a modified version of the Project T.A.I. programming (but only enough to give each unit it's own unique personality, so as to avoid another incident).
Soldier Sentry: The Soldier units are the original Sentry units. Equipped with stun rifles & moderate scanning equipment, they patrol & protect Matt's Lab, and all of the more dangerous inventions that Matt keeps sealed in his "Dangerous & Unconventional Inventions" Vault. They can be a bit clumsy, and can often times bicker amongst themselves for no real reason, but they are very passionate about their jobs, and take it quite seriously.
Elite Sentry: Despite their name, colors & slightly modified weapons & systems, there really isn't anything too "Elite" about these guys. Their purpose is to manage and oversee the various duties that the Soldiers are given. It is said that there are only a total of 500 Elite units in existance.
Research Sentry: These guys aren't fighters. They're main purpose is to assist Matt in the research and development of his larger projects and experiments. They are a bit panicky, and are easily startled, but their ability to figure out any problem is unparalelled.
Medical Sentry: Programmed with amazing medicinal know-how & unparalelled healing skills, Medical sentries are made for tending the sick & wounded. They are devoted to saving lives & will do anything possible to do so. They are a bit eccentric, however...
Construction/Mining Sentry: These guys are built to handle the toughest of punishments. Their tool arms are loaded to the brim with various different construction & mining tools, and they pack enough power to level an entire mountain. They are, however, the only model Sentry to not be programmed using Project T.A.I.
