Fursuit-Style Reference Sheet of my US Navy Blue Angels 'Fat Albert’ Dutch Angel Dragon, Dusty!
Oh gees, I had forgotten to post this ref! As you can note on the watermark, it's over a year old, haha! I designed this guy right around the time I designed Jaeger and Lance, all to be counterparts.
After posting my wingspan and height comparison sheets, I was getting a lot of questions asking about this guy - he's my third largest dragon character and stands out from the Squadron!
Though just a fursuit-style ref, (quick and easy to get designs on paper!) it does portray some of Dusty's unique features. Inspired by 'Fat Albert' the C-130, Dusty here features a thick, stiff tail to serve as a strong rudder, thick legs to leap into the air, and long claws to stop short after a steep landing! This guy is all about strength. He even sports JATO-color-inspired tail base feathers!
This guy is in line for a realistic Ref Sheet treatment! Stay tuned!
Fun fact - Dusty was the callsign of the pilot who flew Fat Albert when I got to ride with them! The zero-G pushover when we leveled out was F’REEEAL!
