Coloring I did of another piece I've commissioned from Zee-Rage-Man (http://zee-rage-man.deviantart.com/). Once again, if you haven't, please check out his stuff and, if you'd like, watch his account. He's a pretty rad dude, and definitely deserves the faves and watches he's gotten for his stuff thus far.
Now, I think it's about time I properly introduced you all to some of the 'regulars' here at Wild Times. I won't lie to you, the numbers tend to waiver and grow every now and again (trust me, we're almost bursting at the seams depending on the season!), but there's always some kids who manage to show up more often than others. Still, I think I know the perfect kid to start out with!
There's little Riley Andersen. She's barely a year old, but I'm not going to lie to you when I say that she's one of my favoite kids to look after! She's a very emotional little one, so to speak. Her attitude tends to flip at the drop of a drop of a hat (but, then again, what baby doesn't constantly shuffle through emotions like a scattered deck of playing cards?), but most of the time, she's a sweet, happy little girl. I've already brought this up, but I kinda feel like I've grown fond of her. She's always up to something, always taking in the world, almost as if she were high on life itself.
...Trust me, that makes getting her to hold still for a second a lot trickier than one would expect. Regardless, Riley's only recently moved down to San Francisco (her father is apparently starting up a company doing...something. Nobody really knows what's going on with that, and I'm starting to think even HE doesn't know what the company does either), and as a result of her parents putting a lot of time into settling in and setting up everything, Riley's starting to become a very common sight at Wild Times...not that that's a bad thing, of course. However, knowing the Andersen's situation, I've offered my personal services free of charge in case she needs a proper sitter sometime.
Riley is a special little girl...to me, at least. I know I sound weird saying a lot of these things, but I know what it feels like to move to somewhere you've never been before, having to adapt to new surroundings (sometimes, without any help). She feels like the little sister I never had (or, to put it further, the kid I someday may have). I want to protect her and everything that she brings to the world. I want her to be happy.
...even if it means having to improvise some solutions to do so. For example: a diaper is still a diaper...even if it's meant for kids MUCH older than the one who's wearing it.
