This is the first ever furry drawing I've ever done, scanned and cropped. I shall ink then colour it once I know how to. It took me a total of 40-45 minutes to do, so please comment on where I can improve etc. T-shirt's inspiration is from

Not bad for the start. A few suggestions for your way to improvement.
Number 1 on your todo-list: proportions.
The chest shouldn't be mch more than twice as wide as the head. The arms are a bit too skinny when compared to the head as well.
Additionally, move the eyes closer together, and a bit up as well. Right now they are on the cheeks. :D
Number 2: symmetry
Mark the spine of your drawn character, then you have a reference for both the torso and the arms. Same applies for the head, use the nose in this case.
