The second commission by
montezuma
First thing, this piece marks the first time two of my minotaurs have been presented together at the same time.
Second, this also marks the first time Ruulkan has appeared in glorious color! See? He’s not an albino after all. Though with the right illusion spell he could be…
When they first met, Ruulkan found Killdozer alone in the wastes, near death from exhaustion and a bevy of savage wounds. Ruulkan, who was on journey to prove his worth as a mage, helped to restore the warrior to full strength. Since that encounter, Killdozer has appointed himself Ruulkan’s guardian whenever the smaller bull goes on his journeys.
Ruulkan usually puts on a big show whenever Killdozer follows him, saying that he’s a caster, he can take care of himself, and he doesn’t need a bodyguard. This is just all talk though. Truthfully, Ruulkan really appreciates the company of his hulking companion, both for his combat skill and friendship. Ruulkan sees Killdozer as his best friend and travelling partner. When his journeys get dangerous, Ruulkan is glad to have Killdozer watching his back.
Killdozer started following Ruulkan after their first meeting. The warrior felt indebted to the shorter mage and wanted to repay it by being his bodyguard. Over the course of their first adventure, Killdozer came to see Ruulkan as almost a younger brother. Killdozer follows Ruulkan as a way to redeem himself of his bloodstained past, but he also enjoys the company of those who see him as something more than a simple barbarian.
